Description

This Print-in-Place model of the famous Japanese offroader Suzuki Jimny is my second Print-in-Place vehicle with working suspension! The wheels spin too!

The only thing you have to do after printing is to snip off a few tiny pillars that prevent the axle casings from fusing with the wheel axles during printing and you are off to traverse the wilderness!

If you wish to scale it down, I wouldn't go below 60% since the supporting bits at that scale are thinner than the nozzle can print. There are two versions: a normal one and one with weaker springs. The one with weakened springs is intended for scaled-up versions, where the springs can get pretty stiff quite quickly.

Despite the limitations of designing a vehicle with interior and working suspension and wheel mechanisms, I was able to preserve all the differentiating and iconic features of the vehicle. Some long bridges could become a problem if you decide to scale the model up, but otherwise, it's a pretty easy model to print. However, if you have issues printing any of my designs, DM me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/vit.budina/) and I will send you my Cura profile.

Enjoy! :D

Caution: Sharp Edges - Not suitable for children under 9 years due to breakable plastic. Adult supervision required.

Love it! I printed it at 40% scale as a test print. I will print a bigger version for sure :)

Yeah, 40% is really pushing it. The lower limit of reliability is 60%, according to my limited testing.
