Hi everyone!
Why buy plastic plant pots when you can print them? Here's the simplest form of vase you can dream of!
Dimensions (you can scale the model according to what you need):
Bottom diameter: 56mm
Top diameter: 78mm
Height: 66.5mm
9x7.5mm holes on the bottom
Two versions are available: one is a single body and one has the bottom separated from the top so that you can print the bottom normally and spiralize the upper part, this way it is possible to have a spiralized vase with holes at the bottom!
My approach using Cura was to slice the bottom normally, then slice the upper part in vase mode, floating 1mm above the build plate (remember to disable the following settings: drop down model, remove all holes, remove empty first layers, and disable skirt/brims) and then merging the two gcodes (also remember to remove the end-gcode from the base part and the start gcode from the spiralized part). Be extra careful as these steps may vary depending on your slicer!
I tried printing both in PET (from soda bottles) and PLA with excellent results!
