Parametric Rectangular Grommets

This model contains parametric files to print either a rectangular/square grommet or a circular grommet to fit any surface that you have. Change the parameters accordingly for the best possible fit. The clips on the back are rounded to avoid the need for supports.

Variable Definitions:

• Square Width: Width of the opening of the square hole to insert the grommet
• Square Height: Height of the opening of the square hole to insert the grommet
• *(Coming soon)* Grommet Diameter: Diameter of the opening to insert the grommet
• Lip Width: How wide the area of the grommet is that will overlap with your surface
• Thickness Grommet: Thickness of the grommet you intent to print. This includes how far out the grommet comes off your surface and how think the walls of the insert will be.
• Material Thickness: The thickness of the material with the hole that you will be inserting your grommet. If you have a 1" desktop, your value will be 1". If you have a ¼" backing with, your value will be ¼"
• Clip Width: The width of the clips that will insert into the hole and hold it secure to the material
• Clip Depth: The length of the clip for how far it will protrude through the other end of your surface.
