The Flip-Flop Pill Organizer Station + Travel Kit
The Idea is that you have a pill organizer station at home consisting of 7 day-blisters (Mo-Sun) with 5 cavities each.
The so called day-blisters can be easily removed and are well suited to take along on daytrips.
A Flip-Flop-Mechanism printed with TPU (NinjaFlex) is the heart of this overengineered device.
You can store one large or multiple smaller pills in each cavity.
A frame (PLA) shields the mechanism from accidentally activating the mechanism.
+Symbols specify each cavity (sober, morning, lunch, evening night)
+visual distinction whether the pills have already been taken or not
+large buttons for good handling
One Day prior to the closing of the pills-travel-kit competition, I joined the makerworld community.
By seeing this competition, I remembered that I had this flip-flop mechanism lying around. Till now I had no idea for a proper use.
See below the naked blister mechanism with one cavity as proof of concept part.
So I started PC and Printer and during a high speed product dev process I created the first Day-Blister.
The bistable mechanism is quite reliable.
Filling it is a bit fiddly, but you have this satisfying feeling of these popits fidget toys.
Status:
At the moment, the frames are just pinched together, which is surprisingly sturdy, so no screws where necessary.
The holes are features of course😉
Everything was printed with standard settings for PLA and TPU and a 0,4mm nozzle.
No Supports needed.
