⭐ How to Generate a New Snowflake (Important!)

MakerWorld’s Parametric Model Maker only generates a new model when something changes.

To create a new, completely unique snowflake:

Change the “rand seed” value
This guarantees a fresh, never-before-seen design.

Why the seed matters:

• Same seed = same snowflake
• Change the seed = new snowflake
• Write down seeds you like so you can recreate them later

You can change any parameter to refresh the model, but changing only the seed gives you the biggest visual difference.

rand seed

The “DNA” of your snowflake.
Same seed → identical design.
New seed → completely new geometry.

outer radius (mm)

Controls the overall size of the snowflake.

thickness (mm)

Sets the Z-thickness of the flake.
2 mm is a good balance for strength and detail.

arm count

How many main branches your snowflake has.
(3–12 arms; 5–6 looks the most natural)

branch levels

Number of recursive fractal branching stages.

• Lower values → simple, bold snowflakes
• Higher values → complex, delicate snowflakes

branch base width (mm)

Controls how thick the branches begin.
1.2 mm is a personal recommended default, but feel free to experiment.

hanger enabled

Toggle the ornament loop on or off.

hanger offset (mm)

Slide the hanger up/down to match the geometry of each unique flake.

hanger outer / inner diameter

Set the size of the loop depending on your string/thread.
