Description

This a figure of Superman modeled after the Justice League Animated Series with styling by Bruce Timm. This is the third figure in the series.

In sculpting the face, I tried to make it as cartoon-accurate as possible while maintaining the minimalist styling, angular contours but reduced some of the exaggerated proportions to improve it further. Hope you like it!

PRINTING & ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Select between the available scales:
    1. 1/12 (6in. tall, minus the base) - ideal if you want a bigger model for display and do not have a 0.2mm nozzle
    2. 1/18 (4in. tall, minus the base) - choose this scale if you want a smaller figure that could fit a small desk or display case (requires 0.2mm nozzle).

  2. Print the parts as oriented in the profiles. Supports are required on some areas of the model. The profiles have all the supports set already.

The default profiles contains four (4) copies of the head so that you can choose which one is the cleanest or one without blemishes, color bleeds, etc.
  3. Use glue/adhesive to attach the parts.

FILAMENTS USED

  • suit & cape: Polymaker Polyterra Lava Red and Sapphire Blue
  • belt: Polymaker Polyterra Savannah Yellow
  • base, hair & eyes: Polymaker Polyterra Charcoal Black
  • face & hands: Inland PLA Pastel Pink

Came out great! Used the Bambu Labs X1-C. Didn't really need to print all 4 heads, they all came out the same. Thanks!

😲 Wow! Great job! I didn't think of variants yet coz I wanted to complete the original Justice League animated characters first but what you did with the face adding that beard is truly unique!

Very talented but wouldn't it print exponentially faster if you for instance broke down the chest emblem into a clip on that you assembled later along with hands, boots, upper legs, tights? Thanks again for model

Thanks for the feedback! I considered breaking up the chest insignia but gaps will be very visible and esp. if the figure is scaled up more, the gaps will be more pronounced. Plus others will have fitment issues for sure if they're filaments are not well calibrated.

You would know much better than I. I just thought perhaps using a negative chest emblem on the chest when slicing and then attaching on the separately printed chest emblem afterwards would not leave an appreciable gap. Thanks for answering.
