Description

The original mount for my globe lamp broke, so I designed and printed this replacement.

Photos show original chromed part in pieces. Only the top section was originally broken and I had to break a few of the lugs to get it out of the base (I think it was glued in).

The first print was intended as a test print, but it was an almost perfect fit. I had to drill out the 6mm hole as it was a little tight for the retaining bolt, but that was it. The lugs twist lock into the base and the bolt secures the globe frame into the slot and counter sunk hole in the top. I expected to have to increase the infill for strength but it seems pretty solid with the standard print setting - time will tell if I need to re-print it.

Might be useful for others.
