Description

The kickstand on my Samsung Galaxy S20+ Unicorn Beetle Pro case broke, so I designed a fully functional 3D-printable replacement. It’s simple, sturdy, and reuses the original metal pin from the OEM kickstand for a clean fit and added durability.

Update – V2.0 Design
Version 2.0 increases the support area around the kickstand tab to improve durability and extend service life. The original design functioned well but experienced tab failure after approximately one month when printed in PETG. This revision addresses that issue based on real world use.

Installation Instructions:

  1. Use a 0.5 mm mechanical pencil tip (or similar tool) to push out the original kickstand pin.
  2. Remove the broken kickstand assembly from the case.
  3. Install the 3D-printed bottom half of the new kickstand.
  4. Install the top half and rotate the kickstand to a 90° position—the same angle as when it’s in use.
  5. Reinsert the original metal pin. This angle makes pin installation much easier.

Printing Recommendations:
I recommend printing in PETG, as the small pivot posts at the bottom can break easily during installation if printed in a more brittle material. The design snaps into the case similarly to the OEM part, though the fit may be snug at first. If the snap-fit feels too tight, simply file down the backside of the part slightly to reduce the retention force.

Notes

This design took quite a bit of trial and error due to the tiny pivot features and the need for durability during installation. If you print this and run into any issues, feel free to let me know—I'd like the model to be useful for people with different printers and materials.

If you’d like alternate versions (angled, reinforced, textured, etc.), I’m open to creating additional designs.

it is just a tiny bit too wide for my 23+ beetle case. so i will be shaving off the sides and try again.

It was a tiny bit too long as well :( I would have thought Unicorn would made the same measurements to their case even if phone is a tiny bit different.

If you give me the dimensions I could try and make one for the 23+. Is it just the sides that were too big? Do you know by how much?
