Do you like my work? Can you support me with a ☕ or maybe a 🍺? It all depends on the time 😄

Bracket for adding an LED strip to the print head of the Creality K1 or K1 Max.

Attaches to the Lidar slot. There are two versions, one for use with Lidar and one for use without Lidar. The advantage is that you can remove the printhead fan cover without removing the LED holder (version without Lidar).

I use 5V LEDs. You can also use LEDs with a lower voltage of around 3V, which some say is even preferable (better illumination).

For the connections, you'll need a three-pin JST 1.25 connector (see photo).

ChoosThere are several sizes of holder, 25 or 33 mm long and 6 or 8 mm wide.
Choose an even number of LEDs to avoid having an LED hidden just behind the nozzle.

Here are my Klipper settings:

[output_pin LED_NOZZLE]

pin: nozzle_mcu:PA10

pwm: Truecycle_time: 0.0100

value: 0 #0 for off at startup and 1 for on

Disable these lines:

#[filament_switch_sensor filament_sensor_2]

#pause_on_runout: true

#switch_pin: !nozzle_mcu:PA10

You can also add macros to turn them on at your convenience or add them to your start/end Gcode:

[gcode_macro LED_NOZZLE_ON]

description: Turn ON LED nozzle

gcode:

  SET_PIN PIN=LED_NOZZLE VALUE=1

[gcode_macro LED_NOZZLE_OFF]

description: Turn OFF LED nozzle

gcode:

  SET_PIN PIN=LED_NOZZLE VALUE=0

No support is required for printing, just place the back of the part on the bed.

Ideally, use a heat-resistant filament to prevent deformation.

Nozzle 0.4 mm
Layer height 0.16 mm or less
2-3 perimeters

Thanks to @Henlor for his many models of original parts.
