Description

Astroukulele's frother mount is pretty great, but I didn't want to hang mine from the edge of a nearby shelf, and I found that the frother wouldn't hang straight – it always leaned in or out (you can see this in the photos for that design), which drives my perfectionist brain nuts, so…. I remixed it to solve those issues. (Some of the other frother holders out there are very cool, but on stands, and I just didn't want to take up additional counter space, so those weren't quite right either.)

Here are the changes:

  • Removed “clip”
  • Added padding to the holder to push the upper body of the frother forward
  • Altered hole at the bottom so that the frothing wire can't lean backwards any more
  • Added indentation on back for double-sided tape, so that if you don't want your frother holder to stick out too much from the surface you put it on, you can put the thick tape in that indentation. I ended up not doing this with mine, though.

Printing notes:

I used PLA. I printed with the narrow end down. No raft or supports needed on my Ender 3 Pro as long as you start with the narrow end! :) Use double-sided tape, Command strips, Velcro, whatever you like to attach it to your coffee maker or backsplash, or whatever! I even thought about magnets…

Compatibility:

Astroukulele's design is explicitly for the IKEA PRODUKT frother. However, I found that another cheap $2 one I had around here, which is larger and rounder, fits just fine in it as well. (See the pics!) The design, with the angled holder, is probably pretty flexible for a variety of frothers, and it is quick and cheap to print, so try it out!
