DIY printing tips and tricks:

  • Since the prior to this version printed inserts of the scale and knob are now lasered, the faces of the knob and scale are blank. You can edit your own scale and knob face as you wish. If you do not wish to edit it yourself, you can use the files from Version 2.0, its fully compatible to each other.

  • The knob features a cavity for a M5x30mm threaded insert nut. You may pause the print to insert it while printing, so it sits secure.

  • The different covers and the base plate also feature some cavities for inserting 6x2mm magnets (4pcs total)so the GSDV2.1 sits secure while grinding and doesn't rattle.

  • Experiment while printing, learn something, have fun with it! If you like it, let us know in the comments!

Replying to @mar.nuernberg :
i think i got this from the V2.0, there it was still there. I think i mix and matched the pieces between the versions. The piece on the plate with the knob is the white insert for the knob itself.

Totally is! In the V2.0 Version are the letters and numbers a seperate object. Just lay them o n top of each other, make them print sequentially and pause after printing the white letters and swap the filament!
