What is Bookfinity?

Bookfinity let's you store your tools, components and consumables in books on a bookshelf to replace boring tool boxes. 

All books have a gridfinity grid inside, letting you take full advantage of the 1000s of tool holders and component bins in the eco-system.

Bookfinity Generator 

This model let's you use the customizer tool to generate plain books for you to edit how you like. 

There are 4 settings:

Rows - Gridfinity width of the book

Columns - Gridfinity height of the book

Thickness - Gridfinity units of the bins in the book. It's in 7mm increments, so a 3U thickness takes 3U bins. 

TopGridHeight - Chooses whether to have the top grid as 21mm or 42mm. Great if you want to have 0.5x or 1.5x size bins. Only affects the top model.

There are two models, the top and bottom part. You need to generate a custom size for both parts and print them.

To color the book cover, add a color change at 4.05mm height, or add a pause above this layer. 

What's new in V2?

• Improved Hinge Design to work better at 0.28mm layer height.
• Choose between 21 or 42mm top grid height 
• Ability to add Sub-Dividers for the baseplate to convert to 21mm. Use this model for info.
• 6mm Magnets to hold bins down
• Thinner ‘paper’ walls and base to reduce filament by 20%.

Assembly

To assemble the book, simply add glue to this part of the cover:

You can then add 4mm x 3mm high magnets into the corners to make the books close shut. 

Latch Version updated (18/01/26)

You can now use this generator to make books with latches too! It's a more limited model that doesn't have magnets or changeable grid sizes, but they're awesome books.
