Description

Summary

Designed for the components of Mobula 7: https://bit.ly/39A2Oid
Recommend using 1103 motors if you can as they will survive crashes far better with their thicker motor shaft: https://bit.ly/3oGrutQ

EDIT 8: New Top Mount adjustable camera mount added. Print it in TPU, 2 walls, no infill. Uses a few m2 screws to mount to the frame and to mount the two parts of the mount together. I also added a smaller version of the frame for 55mm props.

EDIT 7: 3inch 110X version added.

EDIT6: Version 1.3 Added. Just lots of little improvements all around, including lifting the Mobula camera campy higher. I recommend just using this version. I've also added a 110X motor version.

EDIT5: I've had feedback that (unsuprisingly, given it was designed for PC) that the frame does not survive big crashes in ABS, so I've added a version of the frame that's has wider struts and motor supports - for printing in ABS or Nylon CF - as they are less dense than PC this should not add any weight overall but should make it far more crash resilient in those materials. If you do try this version please leave feedback to how it helps in the comments.

EDIT4: Frame 1.2 added - this print does require supports but it means you can fit everything the right way around as it lifts the motors up so overall is better. And adds rubber band hooks for batteries. I also added a version of the low profile camera holder that provides some protection for the bottom of the camera and a top cover that is stronger (the previous version was way to weak) and gives more space if you want to add an extra TX board etc below it. Print the frame at 100% infil and the camera holder and top cover at low infil. You can mix and match the v1.1 and v1,2 parts as you wish.

EDIT3: Sooo sorry - I posted the wrong file for 1.1 - have now updated it...

EDIT2: New low profile camera mount added - print this with 0% infill and 2 walls.

EDIT: The v1 frame had too much flex so was hard (impossible?) to tune. The new v1.1 frame is far stiffer and works sooo much better for me. Please give feedback - if its still not stiff enough there are more tweaks I can make. The new design means you do need to use it "upside down" from the way its printed otherwise the motor wires get caught on the bell. If your camera wires are not long enough you may need to remove the canopy from the camera and feed it through the frame before you put the FC in - sorry.... I'll try to come up with a way to avoid this later...

Turn your Mobular 7 into a fast backyard ripper!

It's really easy to transfer your Mobular 7 motors, camera and FC to this frame using the screws and hardware that are on the orginal frame. Only the battery holder needs extra screws - a couple of short M2 screws.

You can use the Mobular camera pod for the easiest build - but if you want to go for the ultimate low weight and low rider camera you can use my camera mount.

I printed it in polycarbonate - which gives a really strong and unbreakable frame.

I did a test print in nylon-CF and it was strong too.

I used King Kong 65mm props. Genfam 65mm or Ladybird 55mm or Hubsan 55mm props would be great too.
