HMP Droid Gunship - tilting (X-Wing 2.5 TMG)

A scale model of the HMP Droid Gunship, prepared for Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) in X-Wing 2.0 / 2.5 miniatures game.

The model is in so many pieces, because it can tilt around 30-35 degrees to represent the side slipping maneuver!

I've used the model in Tabletop Simulator for a basic reference. I didn't have the measurements of an actual HMP model from the X-Wing game, so I used the Belbullab model to estimate the size, so I hope it's more or less correct. It's probably too thick, but I had to fit the tilting parts somehow.

For assemble instructions I'll call the pieces as follows:

• (main) body - the biggest round piece
• Head - the "long" piece
• Rocket pod - there are two of them - each is 7 connected cylinders
• Peg plate - the flat plate with a cylinder on it
• Peg retainer - the last piece

To assemble you'll first need to clean up the body - make sure the rectangular slots on the bottom are clear, and the middle , sloped, slot is relatively smooth. Try fitting the peg plate inside to see if it fits & can move.

After these initial preparations - first glue the head to the notch in the main body - cutout at the end of the head should contact the main body on two faces.

Then, after the head is glued, insert the peg plate into the sloped slot in the body. The flat side of a hole in the peg plate cylinder should face the head.

Then glue the peg retainer's two legs into square slots close to the sloped peg board slot. The diagonal face of the peg retainer should face the back of the main body.

The last step is to glue the rocket pods into two remaining, big, rectangular slots on the bottom of the main body. The “sharp” ends of the rockets should face the front of main body.

During assembly take care to not glue the plate with peg in place!
