Description

This is an OpenSCAD parametric model to build a rotary tool organizer bin for all the bits.  If OpenSCAD is new to you, there are lots of YouTube videos that will have you up and running in no time.  (Look for “openscad customizer” on YouTube.)

 

Prerequisite: BOSL2 package is required to be installed for this model.  https://github.com/BelfrySCAD/BOSL2/archive/refs/heads/master.zip

 

Strongly recommend to print the test block hole_check_25.stl to determine the best hole size for your setup.  The holes are spaced in 0.025 mm increments of diameter.  Find the best fit and use that number in the OpenSCAD customizer to build your bin.

[Shaft diameter is very particular to your printer, nozzle, and filament.  On my X1C with 0.6 nozzle and PETG, 3.60 drawn holes results in 3 mm printed holes.  On my Mk4 with 0.4 nozzle and PETG, drawn holes are 3.3.]

 

The uploaded STL file is 4 rows (22 bits) with 3.6 mm drawn shaft holes.
