Description

Summary

I use a different heatblock with my Sidewinder, the one compatible with the PT100 Thermistor. For this reason, most fan ducts were either too bulky for my setup or cooling the nozzle and heatblock more than the part.

A few weeks and 12 iterations later, I present you the "Airbender" part cooling duct. It fits press fit if your fan isn't worn out, otherwise use a drop of your favorite superglue.

After installing, turn the fan on and hold your fingertip just below the nozzle and feel the breeze. This duct won't win any awards for its aesthetics, but it saves room, weight and works really well. In fact, it works so well, I was blown away by the amount of air. Sorry.

The one in the picture is resin printed, but I printed it in FDM too, and it worked fine.
The screenshots show the orientation in the slicer.

I've had this printer for two years now and cooling was always a problem. I'm happy to report it isn't anymore.
