Description

This a scale folding camp stove to carry around on your RC crawler to add details to your scale campsite. This stove opens up and has deployable windscreens. There is also a scale propane bottle and accompanying adapter.

Multicolor printing can help add more details to this print. I recommend the use of a .2mm nozzle to give your printer a better shot at reproducing the fine details of this model. Ensure your support settings are well-tuned to reduce scarring on the underside of parts (As seen in the cover photo).

I used these small metal hinges to connect the lid to the base: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YFYBZWJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

The hinge is held on by small plates that can be secured by welding them on with a low-temperature soldering iron. Set the temperature to just below the printing temperature of your filament.

Assembly order:

  1. Slip the lid latch through the hole on the front of the lid and use the soldering iron to flatten the part that sticks through like a rivet. Then add a bit of superglue to secure the joint in place.
  2. Slip the hinges into place on the lid.
  3. Place the hinge plates over the hinges on the lid and snap them in place. Then use the soldering iron to weld them into place.
  4. Slip the lid assembly into the base insert and repeat steps 2-3 on the base insert.
  5. Slide the left windscreen in place in the base insert and then fold the tabs over with the soldering iron being careful not to melt them. Gently fold the windscreen back and forth to ensure it moves freely.
  6. Repeat Step 5 for the right windscreen cover.
  7. Apply glue to the base and place the base insert into the base with enough pressure to set the glue.
  8. Slide the grill into place to complete the assembly of the grill.
