La statua rappresenta Anubi, l’antico dio egizio della mummificazione e dell’aldilà.  È raffigurato in piedi, con corpo umano e testa di sciacallo, una delle iconografie più tipiche di questa divinità.Questa magnifica scultura decorativa di colore bronzo o rame lucido, è posta su una base rettangolare decorata con motivi geroglifici.  I dettagli del corpo – come il gonnellino plissettato e i bracciali – sono ben definiti, stile ispirato all’arte egizia tradizionale.
