The Last Cherry Blossom

Under the pale glow of the moon, the last cherry blossom drifted through the air and landed on the blade of a lone samurai. His name was Renjiro, once a soldier of great renown, now a wanderer with no master.

He stood before the gates of his old lord’s castle, now silent ruins swallowed by time. The wars were long over, but the echoes of battle still lived in his heart.

Renjiro sheathed his katana and whispered, “Even the strongest blade must rest.”
He bowed to the fallen walls, not in defeat, but in peace.
