PRINTER MAT - FOR BAMBULAB P1S

…and for all models with the same internal features.

Tired of having to stick the vacuum cleaner inside the printer to clean up filament scraps, I designed this simple mat to place on the bottom of the printer, which collects debris and can be removed quickly and easily.

You just need to grab it from one side, grab the other one, take it out and throw everything away!

Print

It should be printed in TPU. 

Due to its size, I divided it into four separate plates to be glued together; 

this division also makes it even more flexible and easier to handle: 4 main outer parts plus 4 inner ones.
 

The inner parts come in 2 different sizes, so make sure you don’t glue the wrong ones!

Assembly steps:

• Carefully clean the alignment pins and holes from any print residue, as TPU may leave some stringing or excess material.

  

• Apply the glue to the outer parts (at least that’s what worked best for me).

  

• Use the pins to align and center the inner pieces in their respective holes.

  

• Continue this process until all parts are assembled, and do not move anything until the glue is fully dry.

  

For gluing I used a cyanoacrylate adhesive with activator, and in just a few minutes the mat was ready to catch all the printing scraps!

Note: I did several homing tests and lowered the bed all the way down, and had no issues at all. As you can see in the photo, there is about 3mm of clearance between the fully lowered bed and the mat.
