Description

Here we have the Infamous Iron man's Arc Reactor, the source of his power, I have a friend with a young son and they asked me If I could make him a bedside lamp featuring the reactor, once again, I'm never one to turn down a request and here is the outcome.

It's made up of 4 components the base, Lower and Upper Ring and the Reactor core or ring and they just push together and glued no hardware needed this time.

The Ring or Core will only fit one way, as the 2 parts were combined to cut from one another in the design software, just keep revolving it until

the pegs meet up then it's a snug push fit onto the base.

The lower ring is a snuggish fit and the top ring a bit looser so I just lined them up with the top of the base and glued them together with spots of CA glue from underneath to secure them in place.

I've printed the Reactor Ring in 2 colours, Bambu Silver Silk and Gold Silk, the remaining components I've used the Bambu black metal.

The lighting element is the Bambu LED Lamp Kit which has a USB connector with an inline rocker switch, The base is notched to accept the cable.

It's hard to get a decent photo but you will get the idea.

It would have been nice to print the arc ring out of say a Translucent light blue colour but I didn't have any, still looks pretty good though.

Interesting design, there was a couple of times when I was scratching my head but got around the issues and turned out something which to all intents and purposes looks like the Arc Reactor.

Thanks for Looking.
