Description

This is a quick remix of PacoDeth's cool organizer for the cheap Harbor Freight 40 Piece socket sets:

HOW TO TELL IF YOU NEED THIS REMIX

If you have an older set and want to see if you should print the original thing linked above or this remix, you can check by measuring the 9/16 socket.

Since the hole in the original model is 19.38mm, if your 9/16" socket is larger than that, try this version which has a hole sized at 20.625mm for the 9/16" socket.

Description:

If you have this set, you know what a piece of junk the organizer is that comes with the set is, mine was falling apart so was happy to print the model when I saw it posted. The design that PacoDeth posted makes the set much handier since parts are not falling all over the place. However not all my sockets fit in his version (I have an old set and the design appears to have changed slightly), so I remixed this with some extra clearance on the 9/16 socket, 8mm, and 5/16 sockets. I also raised the base by a few mm to allow all the parts to sit at the same height, which also makes for less rattle.

One more change was to "merge" the parts so it can be printed in one piece on a cr10 size printer. The merging was done by just saving the STL's together as one part, but in Cura it slices it as one continuous part (using a 0.4mm nozzle). The merged part may have issues with some slicers because it was generated from the halves set together (it was not formed from one solid).

This version posted here has a few minor improvements over the one in the pic (made several holes a bit larger) but should be good to go.

Thanks again to PacoDeth@thingiverse for the awesome model and for posting the sketchup files so I could modify it to fit my set!
