Description

Full sized model of Cal Kestis's Lightsaber from Jedi Survivor. Its designed so each section is interchangeable just like in the game. This makes it a bit fragile but if you are looking for a cos-play lightsaber you can just glue it together. The emitters are a bit finicky to print sometimes they come out great other times they wobble during the print and look very bad try printing on silent mode if they are giving you issues.

Wall Hanger:

there is a wall hanger in raw model files. It nails into the wall with small picture hanging nails.

Primitives:

there is a step file of the primitives in the raw model files that can be used to make the parts that you used in jedi survivor.

In game parts in Design:

  • Emitters: Persistence

  • Vents: Edgehawk

  • Switches: Detachment

  • Grips: Persistence

  • Pommel: Duelist

  • Pommel: Serenity

Build instructions:

  • Glue on buttons and nobs
  • glue together the side emitters (sand down for a less visible seam)
  • sand down the connectors (I made the tolerances very tight so don't be surprised if you need to sand them a lot to get a loose enough fit)
  • add felt or some other squishy material to the spot shown below on both the large pommel receiver and the small grip
  • Attach the side emitters by pushing in the nobs and sliding them into the sides of the switch
  • Put together all the parts as pictured. They should go together without much force if they feel really tight sand them more. (If you want them to be really easy to take apart use some Vaseline on the connectors as grease

Quick Release:

The small grip, switch, and pommel have quick disconnects like in game. To attach them just insert the connector till it is held in by its slot. To remove twist the parts 180 degrees till you can feel them come loose and then they can be pulled apart. See the video below for reference:
