Description

A fully parametric 3D model of a pipe plug designed to fit inside round pipes.
Allows precise adjustment of all key dimensions, including plug geometry and pipe end angle.
All linear dimensions are in millimeters (mm).

Main Parameters:

  • Outer pipe diameter (OD_tube) — outer diameter of the pipe to be capped.
  • Inner pipe diameter (ID_tube) — defines the diameter of the plug section inserted into the pipe.
  • Plug wall thickness (plug_wall) — controls strength and outer shell thickness.
  • Plug height (plug_height) — minimum height of the plug. The actual height increases automatically if the pipe is cut at an angle.
  • Interference (interference) — additional diameter offset for a tighter press-fit. Set to 0 to disable the rings.
  • Cut angle (cut_angle) — Pipe end angle relative to the perpendicular to the pipe axis (0° = straight cut).

A chamfer is provided at the top edge for easier insertion and a clean, finished look.

Printing Recommendations:

  • Material: TPU-95A (flexible and durable, ensures tight and secure fit).
  • Infill: 100%
  • No supports required, print with the base facing down.

Applications:

Suitable for sealing or protecting the ends of round pipes of any diameter —
from furniture tubes to mechanical, structural, or decorative elements.
Provides a neat and secure internal closure for open pipe ends.
