Description

PLEASE BE AWARE that this is a tricky model.  I strongly recommend doing a test print of a few ducks using one of the test print plates in the “Brimmed and Groups options” profile!  Many people have had success with this model but others report adhesion failures.

There used to be a model up with hundreds of tiny ducks, but it was recently removed.  I missed it, so I made my own!

I found a public domain duck STL file online, resized it, and covered the plate with ducks.  There are 275 ducks in this file.  It will work with any printer - on an X or P model it will cover the plate but leave some space in the front for the filament line, and if you have a smaller printer Bambu Studio will rearrange the ducks onto two plates (of 154 and 121 ducks) if you wait for a couple of minutes after selecting the A1 Mini printer.

You need a CLEAN PLATE.  I lost some ducks around the edges due to adhesion issues.  I also learned that if you have more than 64 items on a plate you can't skip any in the Bambu Handy app, so I had a bunch of half-ducks around the edges when they lost adhesion from fingerprint oils.

Each duck is 10mm wide, a little over 14mm long, and 15mm high.

I print hundreds of ducks and give them away at work.  People get very happy when presented with a tiny duck.  My son has a box in his room that he is slowly filling with ducks.  It's wild.

Anyway.  The world needs a print profile with hundreds of ducks, so here you go!

January 2026 edit: I've added a second print profile specifically for the A1 Mini, because of a report that the app wouldn't print to the mini from the other profile.  It has two plates.  One is as full as it can get, 140 ducks, 5 hours, 87g filament.  You need a SUPER clean plate especially at the edges.  The other is 100 ducks 3.75 hours, 62g.  It avoids going to the very edges of the plate so there is less chance of bad adhesion on a slightly dirty plate causing issues, but still, CLEAN YOUR PLATE for this file.
