Stackable Halloween Coasters

4 Halloween-themed stackable coasters with reflective top layer. There are two versions of the coaster in each profile, one with a shiny reflective surface that requires transparent filament, and a version that does not require transparent filament (but may not look as nice).

You can achieve different surface finishes on the top of the coaster depending on the type of plate you use. Using a PEX plate like Wham-Bam or 3DHub will give a shiny reflective surface. Bambu Smooth PEI is super smooth, but non-reflective. A satin plate like the Biqu Glacier gives a pleasant matte finish.

Transparent Filament:

Since Bambu does not have a transparent filament, I used Polymaker Natural for the transparent layer. Other options include Sunlu Clear or IIIDMax Crystal. Each profile contains models with and without transparent filament. The models with transparent filament require 2 AMS's and the ones without only require 1 AMS. The image is a little brighter without the transparent filament, but the quality is not quite as good since it must be printed face up.

Printing Instructions:

The image models are generated using the new Flatforge plugin for Hueforge and do not require color switching by layer. The image models are printed separately from the coaster model and glued together using a dab of super glue or your glue of choice. There is a small post in the center of the coaster and a corresponding hole in the image to be able to accurately center it on the coaster. The image models are printed at .08mm layer height and the coaster model is printed at .2mm layer height. The coaster takes about 35 minutes and the image takes about 2 hours.

I used a light yellow color to mark the transparent filament in the slicer filament list.
