Candleman

Design Concepts

Candleman is an intriguing and eerie 3D model that captures the essence of whimsy mixed with a touch of darkness. Its design is inspired by a character design from Disney legend/imagineer Rolly Crump, originally intended for a "Museum of the Weird" that led to many ideas used within the Haunted Mansion.  The design appears to be both drippy and flame-like, intended to create a sense of mystery.

As of 2025 the Candleman is now actually a part of the Haunted Mansion at both the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World and the "Haunted Mansion Holiday" overlay in Disneyland (see images).

Purpose

This model can serve as a unique sculpture for art enthusiasts or a captivating centerpiece for a themed room. Its design sparks creativity and conversations.

Printing Recommendations

Use resin printers for optimal detail reproduction. Experiment with translucent materials to imitate the wax and flame effect for a better visual appeal. Printing at a higher resolution is advised for delicate features.

Assembly Instructions

The model is a single piece, but ensure adequate supports are used during printing to prevent any warping or collapse during creation, particularly the thin, linear shapes upwards resembling candle flames.
