Description

After my first Vase Mode Dragon Scales Lamp there were requests to create a version with the Scales flowing downward - and here we are!

As the first model this one is optimized for Vase Mode printing.

Make sure to print 13 (!) solid bottom layers in 0.18mm layer height to get around 2.5mm of a firm base to attach your lamp socket. If you use thinner layers adjust the layer count accordingly. I recommend a 0.6mm nozzle for ruggedness and decent light absorption.

This Lamp is designed to be used with IKEA Hemma or Sunneby sockets which should be widely available.

Because of the shape and thin wall even a ~800lm LED bulb will produce decent lighting so don't go overboard on power.

Nice print. Might even consider them with a 0.8 nozzle if they ever break.

Thanks for your feedback! Yes, 0.8mm will work as well but I do not expect the thinner versions to break. I even accidentally dropped one and it survived without a scratch.

I'm very happy to be a owner of this nicely printed lamp. 😀 love this design, the light is shining very bright through the lamp wall. I had to tune the brightness of my camera down to take a photo. Bambu lab PLA white thanks for sharing.
