So i discovered another use for my cool spool thingie, here is the A.S.A great for sewing heavy duty fabrics or even thin leather, this fits perfectly in an Altoids Survival Tin ;)

PS: this is the smallest functional Awl ever made, it's only 65mm x 36mm x 13mm
