PREAMBLE

This is a remix of a well-known Youngster Christmas Deer model by YEG 3D back from 2016:
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1939806

As I'm a big fan of Low Poly models, I've decided to do a Low Poly remix of this gorgeous model.

Many brave souls have failed to print this one, again, again and again. Lots of filament is wasted into nothingness. This print will require a well-calibrated and tuned 3D printer.

To save you a headache, consider using the attached GCODE or 3MF file - it has all the correct settings.

This model can be mirrored so the deer looks the other way. In PrusaSlicer right click the model and on the list of options choose Mirror > Along Y axis.

SIZE

The attached GCODE/3MF is made to have correct size relatively to other low poly models in the same series: Holiday Christmas Deer - Low Poly and Laying Christmas Deer - Low Poly
Feel free to size it up or down as you wish.
I strongly suggest sizing it up to fit your entire heat bed as it gives the best result.

SETTINGS

Filament: PLA+ (as pictured in the photo)
Print: 0.2mm
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Support: For support enforcers only (only 1gr of support filament for the back right leg)
Brim: Yes, 8mm
Infill: 5%

If you're so brave as to use STL instead of the GCODE/3MF, ensure to sink the model at least 1-1.5mm into the heat bed before you print it.

NOTES

Support and Brim - do notice the small support for the back left leg - it can be snapped off after printing. The brim is there to ensure the stability of the legs while printing.

Bridges - Oh yes, this is where most of the printers will fail. This model will look something similar to the image below. But fear not - the excessive parts can be easily cut with a scalpel, and it's not noticeable at a 0.5m distance.

Stringing - Yes, it's present. Once again, it's perfectly manageable and removable using a sharp scalpel and small scissors. Here's image of the adult deer models. The same will happen on antlers of the youngster, but in a smaller scale. Take your time and you'll be rewarded!

Happy Printing!
