This is just the Lasercut Project.
You can find the full project on my profile
The Voxalon ’25 is a modern reinterpretation of classic Braun radio designs from the 1950s and 60s, transformed into a functional Bluetooth speaker. The project combines retro aesthetics with modern electronics, all packed into a 3D-printable enclosure.
Design
- Inspired by the timeless Braun SK series, but reimagined with clean, minimalistic geometry.
- Front grill with perforated pattern, available in different styles and materials (PLA, PETG, or even wood).
- Modular back panel for connectors, logo, and optional customizations.
- Compact enclosure (approx. 330 g print weight, PLA/PETG) designed for FDM 3D printing with three perimeter shells and high infill for acoustic stability.
Electronics
- Amplifier: ZK-1001B Bluetooth 5.1 mono amplifier board (7–24 V, 100 W max).
- Speaker: Visaton VS-FR7/4 full-range driver (alternative drivers like Dayton ND65-4 also possible).
- Power: 12 V DC input (external power supply). Optional battery integration with 3S Li-ion and USB-C charging.
- Optional series capacitor (Elko) for protecting the driver from very low frequencies.
Features
- Portable retro speaker with modern connectivity (Bluetooth, AUX, USB).
- Modular design allows customization (different grills, knobs, or finishes).
- Inspired by vintage design, but fully adapted for modern use.
Printing & Assembly
- Recommended material: PLA or PETG (can also be reinforced with fiber filaments).
- Print with 3 shells and high infill (≥30%) for acoustic stability.
- Speaker and amplifier are mounted inside with M4 screws, form-fitting design.
- Optional textile or mesh layer behind the grill for a more authentic vintage look.
