Description

Just a good Mando helmet!

My profile doesn't have support on the inside of the helmet because I have found it didn't really help that much with the quality and it used a lot of filament. the very center of the inside will be rough because of this but it hasn't been an issue for me.

For those wondering what I use for a face sheild I use a Hobart 770580 Face Shield Replacement Lens, Shaded from Amazon. I cut it to shape and use a little bit of hot glue along the front and near the temples. That seems to be enough. I would recommend getting air soft helmet padding for a custom fit and comfort.

I love it. I’ve printed two and they have come out great! second one I scaled up x and y to the max with z at 100 % and it fits my huge head. sand, prime repeat, then paint gloss black and then rub with graphite powder. looks amazing

looks awesome. Did you use the graphite powder after the gloss black dried?

Yes, use the graphite after the black paint pretty much dried my paint never seem to dry really good so it’s almost tacky which works great for the graphite to stick to and polish up

I used a glow in the dark filament from Amolen. great support profile that saves a LOT of material. although removing the supports was a bit of a pain but worth it and will be getting a shaded face shield to do the insert. My daughter literally yelled at me for being such a nerd. 😂

first time printing something over 5 hours long… just let it rip from the mobile app and after cutting supports, it’s damn near a perfect print! Extremly impressed with the model and printer! used Geeetech Silver Silk PLA

This is an awesome Mando Helmet, the fact that it’s very detailed and it fit my head right off the build plate is a huge plus

Definitely needs a support right up the centre of the helmet.

what filament did you use?

its not the supports. in the settings you're supposed to used (not applied) for the "only one wall on top surface" setting and also try some adaptive layers.

Replying to @pwm.masters :
Du, ich habe keinerlei Einstellung vorgenommen, hatte mich auch gewundert das er einen Brim an der kalibrierunglinie gedruckt hat. Vielleicht reicht es ja ja bei dir wenn du den Brim raus nimmst.
