Description

This is a Motorized Turntable designed to work with the BambuLab “Marble Run Components Kit 003”.

No glue or AMS needed for this build, and you only need 2 M3x22 screws to mount the motor.

I specifically made this turntable 178mm in diameter so that my not-so-well-packed A1 Mini friends can have a go at this build as well.

How to assemble:

Push the gear onto the motor and screw the motor to the bottom plate.

Place the ring part on the base, and drop the marbles into the holes.

Put the top part on top and turn the whole thing over. Everything is held together by the screw on the bottom. You can use a coin to screw it in. I included TPU feet as well that can be glued to the marked points.

Done.

The idea is fantastic. But is plagued by tolerances issues that are too tight for every assembly you need to do. I hurt my finger trying to screw the big screw in even after lubricating the screw. The channel for the cable had to be filed down, same as the gear for the motor. Designer should account for these tolerances or otherwise a great idea turns to a headache. Once assembled, it works amazing!

Works great! The only things that need some adjustment are the inner diameter of the gear for the motor, it’s a little too tight. Also the channel the cord tucks into could be made a little bigger too.
