I was looking for an insert for some bare hotends for my P1S that would take up the least amount of space. Saw one for the A1, but not for the P1/X1. This is a 1x2 insert.
I added text to identify either hardened steel or stainless steel nozzles. If you don't want that text or want to edit it, I've included instructions below (because I had no idea how to do this either until a couple weeks ago)…
I don't have an AMS but have added custom G-code to my P1S that allows me to add a pause for a filament change at a selected layer. However, this website wouldn't allow me to upload the model with that G-code, so… whether you're running an AMS or not, if you want the two-tone look in the pictures, you'll want to change colors at layer 146 (assuming you're printing with 0.2mm layers). Hope that helps.
I'm new to 3D printing and this is my first model upload. I'm hooked and have lots of ideas, but I see now why people say figuring this stuff out eats up a lot of filament. So if you'd like to buy me a cup of coffee or, more likely, contribute toward another roll of filament you can Paypal me here. Thank you!
How to Edit/Remove Text in this Model in Bambu Studio:
2. Next, right click on the “text_shape” you want to remove/edit and select “Change Type” from the window that pops up.
3. Another window will pop up. From that pulldown, change it from “Negative Part” to “Part”.
4. Once that's done, you can again right click on the “text_shape” you want to edit and you'll see that the option to “Edit Text” is now available.
5. IMPORTANT! Make sure you go back and change the text back to a Negative Part before you print.
This is based on the empty insert boxes by Willi 3D.
