Description

The 3D model of a Kodama spirit from Studio Ghibli Movies.

You will find each file named by color for an easy setting.

  • Import them in Bambulab/Orca as single object with multiple parts.
  • Assign each color to the same named part ("wall" is always withe to create a nice bright outline)
  • The “Backbox” have no holes, you can provide by yourself in the slicer according to your type of wires.
  • Use a PEI Textured plate for an optimal result

To achieve a nice result be sure to have settings as follow

  • first layer flow ratio = 1.05
  • wall transitioning threshold angle = 50°
  • Infill/wall overlap = 20%
  • Avoid crossing walls

Once you have printed the model glue inside the backbox a ledstrip (multicolor or withe) and wire it trough the provided hole… you have your lightbox ready! ^_^

Hello, why do I end up with black spots on the very thin white part? THANKS

For my experience the black spots are the stringing of the black filament that remain on the model and blend in the white part while printing layers. The solution is to set very well the filament settings (first try to reduce temperature by 5 degrees, then increase retraction settings) obviously a black filament inside the white layer can be seen a lot. it Happened also to me in a print and i solve reducing temperature by 5° (anyway there are many variables ...also filament moisture create stringing).Hope it helps

made one of these for a coworker and she loved it. I ended up tweaking the cover to be thicker and used glow in the dark filament which looked great
