Description

This model is a detailed replica of the famous R2D2 droid from the Star Wars series (also known as C1-P8).
It is divided into 8 parts (plus two joints) to assemble, and all parts fits on a single bed plate. The print profile is for a single color print: to add the blue, gray and red I used acrylic paint applied with a fine-tipped brush. If you prefer you can paint the parts it in Bambu Studio, but printing times will take a lot longer.

You printed it very well, including the hanging wiring on the "feet" which are the most critical part.

The pieces printed quite well and have good detail. It will be a good addition to the Star Wars shelf in the office.

awesome figure. filament didn't want to stick in all the areas so it was a mess. i think something is set wrong or got changed because I never had these problems before. Now it is often and i got my p1s before Christmas. Any help would be apricated. thank you for sharing!

Hi, if you have this problems you can try this: Degrease: wash the build plate with soap, a soft sponge and rinse well with hot water. do not touch the printing surface with your fingers. Glue: If you use the cool plate, always put an even layer of glue stick on the part where you will print. Temperature: if the default temperature of the build plate is 35° and the filament does not attack, increase the temperature even up to 50° (I remember that in old printers it was impossible to print with the build plate at less than 60°) Calibration: bed calibration should be done every time you turn on the printer (...even if I only do it when I change the type of plate...). Change build plate: The cool plate usually has some replacement stickers, you can replace the old one with a new one. Even better if you buy the textured pei plate, the golden one: it's exceptional!

Do you recommend PLA basic or PLA matte when painting with acrylics?
