This is a master spool intended to replace a cardboard spool (such as Sunlu) whose inner core is larger than 85mm. Smaller cores (though rare) will not work.
I liked aspects of both of the source master spool creations. The core of the slant3d model was extremely well designed allowing for the same part to be printed twice and interlocked as opposed to having a “left & right” part. Plus how they join makes for a smooth core as there is no overhang or overlap where one side is larger/smaller than the other as is with the bambu spool. As for the Bambu spool remix, I liked the hex pattern and the lower amount of filament required to print. So I created the best of both worlds.
The core was resized to fit smaller cardboard spools, the side plates were leveled and the whole model was simplified to save time and filament when printing.
