Description

BambuLab (P1S) Starter Kit that includes:

  • Top Hole Cap
  • Side Filament Guide
  • Side Spool Holder
  • Easily Removable Chute Bin

I checked most of the designs related to "Side Spool Holder" and "Chute Bin" for BambuLab P1S but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. So based on what I have seen and what I needed, I created my own designs from scratch using the ideas of others. You can check models I am inspired from:

Note: I couldn't check if these fit on P1P or X1 as I only have P1S, so if you make it for those machines please let me know the result so I can update the description.

Filament:

  • I suggest to use PETG or stronger.
    • You can use PLA, it works as well but others will be more stronger

not sure why it says print failed. printed wonderfully but the holder itself is a bit shaky. Not quite sure what I would change aside from maybe a strong magnet insert on the outside to hold it to the printer body

what do you mean by shaky, can you explain a bit more? and a couple of questions: - which filament did you use? - can you double check if you printed with 100% infill? I used Bambulab Template to create these models but holder seems not fitting well. It might be the issue maybe? if you can provide a bit more detail I can try to fix it, thank you for your response and making it! also about the magnet, I dont think it will stick to the side of the printer as its just plastic. This week, I will try to update it so it can stick to the printers side, so even in that case it wont sturdy enough, you can use double-sided tape.

the spool holder itself has a lot of horizontal movement. printed directly from your model and didn’t change anything. when I load a spool onto it, seems to sag a little which is what I think let’s it wiggle. printed with elegoo rapid pla+ on p1s .4 nozzle, bamboo textured plate. would’ve rated four stars but I wouldn’t let me

I dont mind about the star, I would love to solve the issues you have. It is a bit wiggling, that is correct. the only thing I can do is to re-design that part to fit firmly to the side of the printer, and then you can use double-sided tape to make it more stable. I will try my best to add that as well this weekend. Thanks for the feedback

thanks for trying it out. in which part it required longer screw and do you know the length of them so I can update the description?

i just did install the V2 Tall on our P1S. (gonna do a make later) I only had BHCS types, so I had to use a M3x12 and M3x16 to mount the printed part and use 2x M3x12 for mounting the spoolholder to the printed part with nuts. (one could actually just be a M3x10)

printed fine, only thing is the ptfe tube guidance does have some very thin walls that ended up snapping for me, so a bit thicker would be great.

Printed the side spool holder and filament guide piece in ASA as its stronger than PLA and easier to print than ABS. The screw sized mentioned are a perfect fit for the X1 Carbon too & the pieces fit well. The only change is that if you're using the AMS with some sort of Y splitter, the length that goes around the rear of the printers case of the filament support is a little too long without having to make some crazy bend with your PTFE tube. With an AMS, it would be better without the filament guide so the PTFE can just come straight through the connector and not be forced to turn around the corner of the printer. The piece can also be shortened so it starts right up by the screw holes, the extra plastic is unnecessary.
