Description

Update 10/26: Updated models available. There are profiles for multicolor and single color. The biggest change is embossed text which will look much better when printed. Read profile details for more info. I strongly suggest you print the updated model.

Put on display infill patterns! Looks cool too says my wife!

Check out v2 here!

I wanted to display infill options so that I can more easily visualize and feel the strength. A big reason for making this was to show my friend who only used cubic, I wanted to show him he had a plethora of options.

Blocks are 30x30x8.6. Since the first outer wall is a different color from the infill and there's a small gap, the infill is 29.1x29.1. I originally wanted it to be only infill with no outer wall but I was having difficulty and I like the way it came out like this so I didn't try to tweak anymore.

You'll see in the 3mf for the modifiers..

  • Wall loops - 0
  • Top shell layers - 0
  • Sparse infill density - 15%-20%
  • Sparse infill pattern - different for each block

I had to leave a tiny gap in between the outer wall that surrounds the infill blocks so that I was able to paint them.

Total model size: 133x166.8x10

Note: Infill patterns missing are adaptive cubic and lightning*. 1. because adaptive cubic can't really be shown with this 2. lightning infill I believe is (usually) the least practical infill 3. I wanted it wanted to be symmetrical. Also, Octagram Spiral and Archimedean Chords aren't really shown properly since they aren't in the center of the model**.

*The updated models contain lightning infill. It replaced Support Cubic since it looks too similar to Cubic in this model.

** The updated model is rearranged to have Octagram Spiral in the center.

*.f3d and STEP are included in case you'd like to add to them or remix in any way.*

Unfortunately due to profile farmers starting to download, change negligible things in the model and uploading them as remixes(often without stating what was changed) I have taken down STEP and f3d files. If you would like these files you may message me and we can figure out a way for me to send them to you. Unfortunately the minority of people ruin it for everyone. I know this won't stop it but it's a deterrence. For now, I still have the license allowing remixes. I'll change the license if necessary. I apologize I had to do this.

Thank you! I agree I made the text too small and doesn’t look as good as it could. I was thinking of remixing particularly for this reason.

⭐𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 ‣ [PLA] 0.25mm
Not all infills look perfect but good enough. Nice to hear the difference in noise between the different infills

Would the nozzle get stuck or hit the print? Between what areas?
