Description

Calvin and Hobbes, from the comic strip by Bill Watterson.

The comic strip Calvin and Hobbes follows the humorous antics of Calvin, a precocious, mischievous and adventurous six-year-old boy, and Hobbes, his sardonic stuffed tiger.

The full model is built using individual models of Calvin and Hobbes, therefore I created three separate uploads:

For the final build using the individual Calvin and Hobbes models see:

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/143447-calvin-and-hobbes (this upload)

For the Calvin model see:

https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/143455-calvin

For the Hobbes model see:

No supports are required. If you have the right filament colors, no painting is needed.

The fully completed model is 250mm tall after assembly.

Enjoy!

Just finished, looks great. Printed on a A1 mini. 2 issues: First the tiger is leaning on the side, will have to glue the log to a support, no big deal, might have glued the foot wrong. Second, got crazy with the stripes, did the kid ones with a marker, on the tiger I used black tape cut to size.

Marker or tape is perfect. I just included the 3D printed ones for the 3D printing enthusiasts who cannot do 'post processing' well. FYI- The lean is definitely due to a foot installation error. Should stand nicely on it's own. Always label the left/right parts as you remove them from the bed. Teamwork, Steve

I printed the log with Amolen walnut wood PLA, which came out great (not shown). I printed this one with fuzzy skin set to contour, which gives it a rougher look.
