Description

Printing:
IMPORTANT, only make this with PETG!!!
Used white PETG for the base and translucent PETG for the top.
I printed the dome in 2 parts to save myself support material, but in the raw files you should have access to the full dome as well.
I simply used a heat gun to weld together the 2 resulting parts of the dome, rock solid.
Assembly:
I used a basic ceramic socket from Home Depot that costs 2.99$ and any extension cord will do. Just cut off the female end and connect it to the ceramic socket before mounting the socket to the base of the dome. Use 2 screws to mount the socket to the base by first losely screwing the base to the wall, adding then the socket and twisting it and then tightening the socket with the screws. Make sure to fiddle the extension cord through the little cut outs, the less snug version has now 4 little holes for better versatility.
That is a 60W clear incandescent bulb in there. Even though it emits a lot of heat it has not affected the lampshade at all in the past 1 year. Both of these lights have been on for 5-7 hours per day since then.

I added in the 3MF a more and a less snug version. depending on what environment you want to use it in or in case you want to access the bulbs more often.

This light gives off a nice and soft glow. Can be substituted with any other colored transparent PETG.
