“WELCOME” as a printable LED lamp.

Printsettings: Infill 6 to 8%, no Supports, 0.2 mm layer height (better use PETG, because of better UV resistance, but PLA works good, too, if the lamp doesn´t stand directly in sunlight.

I work in child and youth welfare and also use this hobby to make LED lamps for all the children in our care to give them as gifts at our summer festival or at the latest by Christmas.

Since there are over 60 children, many new names will be added in the coming weeks and months.

For new admissions, I will print a lamp and place it in the room as a little surprise before the child moves in.

This lamp can be printed on a 20cm print bed (model height is about 17cm).

All lamps are modeled so that they can be easily printed on a 20cm print bed and the individual letters can be glued together at the designated locations (I use UHU "hard plastic" glue, which works very well after a good drying phase).

In the meantime I have switched to the following LED stripe because it is easy to glue (I only use superglue at the entrance of the lamp):

If you use the LED strips from Amazon, you don't need to stick them on separately, as the LED strips are relatively light and will hold onto the lamp without any additional adhesive. I simply attach the beginning of the LED strip.

Please also pay attention to the order of the letters in the file name. For example, if it says T1 Body and T2 Body, the letters must be glued in this order, otherwise they will not fit together.
