Description

Small Container - 40mm diameter - watertight (not guarunteed).

Small container with threads and lid. I needed to give my sister some poison (for plants) and needed a small container that wouldn't fall apart if dropped.

Its inside base is rounded at the bottom. If someone wants a more squared inside base let me know.

Works well printed at 0.16mm. Tolorance is excellent.

It's watertight (I filled with water and lay it on its side for 10 minutes, not sure about long term. I was mostly curious).

I haven't tried but I assume it can be scaled up nicely.

Enjoy!

They work and look good, maybe the tolerance of the threads could be improved a tiny bit, but they do work

hey, could you elaborate with the tolorances please? Is it too tight or too loose? threads are tricky because if you haven’t calibrated your filament correctly you’ll get issues. its been designed to open and close smoothly without rattling around. if it’s too tight I would suggest you recalibrate your filament and try again.

Thanks for replying. I'm well aware that threads need a dialed in printer with calibrated profiles for the used filament, i design and print funcional parts myself, a lot of them use threads. Those threads could use a slight bit of fine tuning in the design, putting 0.05mm of tolerance on the thread faces would probably do well, mine where tight 😉 Nonetheless it works, i needed a small container fast and did not have my pc with me to model one. So i started this print from remote and had a finished part once i got home, mission accomplished. If i needed more i would probably design my own with slightly different thread design and tollerance but apart from that it's a good model
