Description

It may not be the absolute smallest desktop dumpster, but it's the smallest I have designed and made available on MakerWorld.

This is a smaller, single-lid version of my Desktop Dumpster model. It measures 115mm wide x 72mm deep and 95mm high (4.5" x 3" x 3.75").

It's so adorable. Go on - admit it.

I have added a ‘badge’ to the front, which is an example ONLY. The model does not have the badge, and if you want one, head to Make My Sign in MakerLabs and create a rectangular sign that is 57.5mm x 26.5mm.

Assembly instructions:

  1. Remove the ‘mouse ears’ from the base simply by tearing them off. These are here to prevent the corners from lifting off the bed (like they did in my example print).
  2. Peel the brim away from the small parts which are the castor wheels.
  3. With each castor wishbone, place it on a desk and then squeeze a wheel in between the spokes. This may take a little ‘oomph’.
  4. With each wheel, work it into the hole in the corners of the base. This is best done by moving it back and forth, and it will work itself into the hole.
  5. Place 4 dots of superglue, on each corner of the base of the main body, in the small recess for the base.
  6. Fit the base plate to the main body of the bin
  7. Remove the support brim from the lid. Be sure to clean this up to remove any left-over brim. Use a deburring tool if you have it.
  8. Add a dot of superglue to the 2 attachment points for the lid at the back, top of the bin.
  9. From the back of the bin, push the attachment pins into the holes.
  10. When the glue has set (10 minutes or so), lift the lid to break free the print-in-place joints on the hinges.

As always, please be sure to give some feedback on the print. A photo and a full-set of stars would be nice. If you have issues, please reach out to me for help (before rating).

I'm also desperate for attention, so please consider following my channel.
