I tried to create art that resembles the thick brushstrokes one sees in oil paintings. It's not quite there yet, but I really like the result. It looks especially beautiful when you raise the piece to the light, so that the thinner parts are being lit.
This piece is only composed of four colors, but they repeat themselves throughout the printing process, to create layers upon layers. It can take a while to print it in full, since it's so thick. But I do feel that it lends gravity to the entire piece.
Would love to know how you feel about it!
