PINBALL

Bill of Materials
Description
This pinball machine is a unique hybrid project that combines two different technologies: laser cutting/engraving and 3D printing (both compatible with H2D printers), bringing to life a retro-style game inspired by the world of Pac-Man.
This is a hybrid project that combines two technologies: 3D printing and laser cutting. In this project, you will find only the 3D printing part; to complete it, you will also need the laser-cut part, which you can find at the following link:

Main Structure
The base and playfield are made of 3mm basswood, laser-cut for precise shapes and engraved details directly on the surface. The engravings include decorative writings such as PINBALL, RUN, and GAME OVER, as well as iconic shapes of Pac-Man and the ghosts, enriching the playfield with a nostalgic style.

3D Printed Elements
- Flippers: the two side arms, in red, were 3D printed to ensure strength and an ergonomic shape that allows better ball control.
- Bumpers and obstacles: the classic pinball bumpers are recreated with red circular 3D printed elements, along with raised paths and white barriers with red details.
- Rails: the ball containment channels, made in white, combine aesthetics and functionality, guiding the ball’s movement.
Features and Details
- The ball launching system is located on the right side and can be operated manually.
- The steel balls are stored in the front compartment engraved with GAME OVER.
- The laser engravings not only embellish the pinball but also serve as gameplay guides, marking paths and targets.
- The combination of natural wood colors and red details creates a vivid and eye-catching contrast.
- My idea is that this pinball should be played with multiple balls at the same time.
- In addition to the right-side launcher, it is possible to release multiple balls simultaneously from the top by holding down the red button.

Distinctive features
This pinball machine is a perfect example of a hybrid project, where the precision of laser-cut wood meets the versatility of 3D printing, allowing the creation of durable and functional three-dimensional components. The result is a completely mechanical game, without electronics, that combines craftsmanship, retro design, and modern technologies, offering a gaming experience that is both simple and fascinating.
