Description

this is my version inspired from Teaching Tech's version, his is a derivative of a old unknow metal version.
A few thing I didn't like about his version.
Tight tolerance dovetail.
The original version used a dovetail. This is very susceptible to tolerances issues.

Layering
The way his was assembled the layering creates bumps that stops from rotating. This version does not have this problem. Teaching Teck's version has the bumps from layers resisting the segments rotation. This version has the support but that is easy to clean up compared to the bearing surface.

Support
I had chose to make with a little more support. But the clean up was on the hold together surfaces, not the load bearing surfaces. This version does not have this problem. Others I have seen have the layers make “bumps” that don't allow the parts to slide easily against others. You can sand this into smooth surface. But the sanding causes fit problems.

Compressed distance.
I tried to minimize the space needed for the vice.

You will need a couple 8mm shafts, couple bearings. you might choose a the length is up to you.

The above link for the shaft and bearing has extra shaft mounts (not used for this) and 4 pillow blocks (linear bearings) only 2 are used for this vice. choose the length that matches the lead screw.

along with some M3 and M4 socket head cap screws and nuts

on some of the pieces there are small holes intended for adding small clips of 1.75 dia filament, as alignment pins. Not needed for parts that are screwed together. but very useful for the glued parts to hold alignment.
The reason some parts are glued and some screwed is so you could replace a sub piece.

I added the pieces to the individual parts. The last Caracter of the file name is how many of that part are needed for one assy. x8 means you need 8 of that part.
