Story
Hello there!
I couldn’t find the perfect spool holder for my massive 5 kg Sunlu ABS spool,
so I designed my own: adjustable, portable, and lightweight
This spool holder was made to use spare bearings from my Voron 2.4, along with easy-to-find M4 screws and nuts
It’s quick to print, requires no supports, is very light, and assembly is super easy
Minimum recommended spool diameter is from fi250 to 350mm (designed for 300mm Spool)
There is also EXPERIMENTAL fi400 Spool Holder (left fi300, right fi400)

Front fi400, back fi300
Hardware (for two sets):
- 4x M4 12mm SHCS Screw (can be longer)
- 4x M4 Nut
- 8x Bearings (or 4x Belt Idler)
Types of Bearings Supported (ready 3D models):

- F605
- F606

How to check what bearing you have?
It’s simple: just measure it, check the chart below, and find your bearing’s name

It’s usually better to use the biggest bearing you have. Printed pins holding the bearing can then be larger and therefore stronger
If possible, use an idler bearing. They run more smoothly because they don’t create a tiny gap in the middle
That’s right. you can use a belt idler instead of typical flanged bearings
Here’s an example below: an idler for a 10 mm belt. Looks massive, doesn’t it?

I buy idlers like this one from aliexpress here
Idlers should have same dimensions like on picture, to make them work with my design:
