V1.5 Elegoo Centauri carbon riser W OPT/ Slider Remixed by Tiger prints MakerWorld: Download Free 3D Models

👆👆👆Update: new profiles added for easier slide release.

Version 1.5 of the riser has tighter fitting vents that release easier and a tool hole on side to help release any possible vent that may stick after initial print. Also added tabs for extra led support.

For this model: V1

I added a sliding lid option to slide the top lid open some for extra venting. And changed inner tolerances on both for better sliding of vents open and closed.

This riser has the following features:

  • Vents that can be opened or closed based on the material you're printing
  • Stops Bowden tube from rubbing and wearing on the top glass.
  • A 45 degree bevel around the perimeter for LED strip lights
  • Bevel transitions to 90 degrees on the corners so that strip lights can follow the bend
  • Rear corners have cutouts for wiring to pass through

Assembly

Since the CC is not perfectly square, the corner pieces are each different and require proper orientation. They are labeled for easy assembly. Each corner has a side that is slightly longer. The text should be "right side up" when you look at them from the front of the machine.

After printing, you can free the sliders by pressing in on the bottom of the slider at each vent hole. You may also need to press up and back on the front tab used for moving the slider back and forth to pop it loose. Using some needle nose pliers to squeeze that movement tab against one side of the vent has also proven effective.
