Description

Blastoise Skeleton – 3D Model

  • This is a stylized 3D skeletal model of Blastoise, imagined as if it were a real prehistoric creature.
  • The design features a sturdy shell fused with a detailed ribcage and spine, giving it a grounded, anatomical feel.
  • Its skull is shaped with a strong beak and deep eye sockets, adding a touch of realism to the fantasy.
  • Two cannon-like bone structures extend from the back, echoing Blastoise’s iconic features in a fossil-inspired way.
  • This model blends fantasy and natural history, offering a unique take on what Blastoise might look like if it had evolved in the real world.

Supports Required: Enable supports for overhangs, especially under the shell and around the cannons. Tree supports are recommended for easier removal and minimal scarring. Try to use support on Built plate only.

Model Orientation: For optimal stability and print quality, cut the model into two halves—left and right—and lay each flat on the build plate. This reduces the need for excessive supports and improves bed adhesion and later on they can be glues together.

Layer Height & Infill: A layer height of 0.12–0.2 mm works well for capturing skeletal detail. Use 15–20% infill for a good balance between strength and material usage.

Material: PLA is ideal for ease of printing, but PETG or ABS can be used for added durability.

Assembly: Once printed, the halves can be glued together using superglue. Sanding the contact surfaces lightly will help with bonding.
